This will be the 4th and last blog-post in the series on the Sitecore Habitat Home Corporate demo website. The previous ones can be found here:

In this blog-post I’ll introduce you to the several marketing functionalities that are build in in the demo site. Since Habitat Home Corporate is a very basic demo site build with Sitecore MVC, it contains basic marketing features of the Sitecore Experience Platform. Let’s walk through these.

Goals

In the Marketing Control Panel several custom Habitat Home Corporate goals are defined. In this demo site, these goals are configured specifically for the team member pages. On the individual team member pages these goals are configured, so that when a website visitor visits these team member detail pages, these goals are triggered.

Some default Sitecore goals such as Brochure request are used as well in the demo site, but more on that later on this blog-post.

Profiles

In the Marketing Control Panel several custom Habitat Home Corporate profiles are defined. In this demo site, the following profiles are defined:

Entrepeneur – a person who’s mostly interested in the brands of Habitat Home Corporate, when a user visits the brand pages of Habitat Home Corporate he/she falls into that profile.

Executive – a person who’s interested in the company Habitat Home Corporate itself, when a user visits the about us and contact us page, he/she falls into that profile.

Lawyer – a person who’s mostly interested in the team of Habitat Home Corporate, when a user visits the individual team member pages, he/she falls into that profile.

Marketer – a person who’s interested in the news of the Habitat Home Corporate company, when a user visits news detail pages, he/she falls into that profile.

Campaigns

In the Marketing Control Panel one custom Habitat Home Corporate campaign is defined, called Download whitepaper campaign. You can either enroll a user visit into that campaign when adding ?sc_camp=F21189956F934171A7AF199AAFEC593C to the url, or you could go to /whitepaper, which is an alias for the download whitepaper page. Once you hit that, you’re enrolled into the campaign.

Visit details panel

Since this is a demo website, a visit details panel can be made visible on the site. When a user visits the page all the way on the right there’s an I icon. He/she can click it, and the visit details panel will show the end user more info on their Engagement value, Personal Information, their Onsite Behavior (such as triggered goals, page events, outcomes, what profile they belong to and campaigns triggered.

This gives the end user a great overview of the marketing capabilities of the Sitecore Experience Platform.

Sitecore Forms actions

As mentioned before in my previous blog-post Sitecore Habitat Home Corporate functionalities, Habitat Home Corporate has 2 Sitecore Forms configured, to demo basic Sitecore Forms functionality.

Through these forms Sitecore is actually able to Identify a contact when the website visitor fills in the form and submits it. It further more, as already mentioned in the previous blog-post, triggers a goal etc…

Experience Profile

Where all the marketing functionality comes together is the Experience Profile. Here we can get an overview of all the contacts (anonymous or identified) and their engagement values, profiles, goals etc…

The great thing of this small demo site is that it’s able to show the really strong and powerful capabilities of the platform.

Have a look at the Habitat Home Corporate demo site yourself & use it to demo it to your new customers. See Introducing Habitat Home Corporate on Sitecore 9.2 on how to install.

Happy Sitecoring …
