Detected by Sitecore Support as a bug: reference number 377374

In the short video down below, I’m going to show you a bug that I recently discovered and currently applies to the latest version of Sitecore: Sitecore 8.1 Update-1 (Revison 151207)

The bug occurs when using a Multi-Line Text field in combination with a Sitecore Experience Button. When a custom Sitecore Experience button is used, the linebreaks in a Multi-Line Text don’t get saved. therefore the created linebreaks cannot be saved when you edit the field through an experience button.

The Multi-Line Text field values do get saved correctly when the same field is edited through the content editor.

Sitecore Support has confirmed that this is a bug. In case you want a fix for this contact Sitecore Support and use reference number: 377374.

Happy Sitecore trails
